I am the system vice president and chief academic officer for BayCare Health System in Florida.
I oversee the academic integrity and quality of research and educational programs, and provide leadership to drive academic excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.
My academic interests have included patient outcomes, myocardial function, and predictive modeling. I have expertise in the areas of therapeutic ultrasound, imaging technologies for right heart function, and systems of cardiovascular care. Recently I have been working on artificial intelligence algorithms for precision phenotyping and clinical trial design, as well as the deployment and evaluation of those models in patient care settings.

My career has included serving in the roles of physician-scientist, clinician, and academic leader. I am passionate about patient outcomes and evidence-based assessment of new healthcare technologies. I have a master’s degree in healthcare management from Harvard and trained in artificial intelligence at MIT. I participate in health tech ventures in Brazil, India, and China.
